THE CLUB

Founded in 1862, Richmond Cricket Club is one of London's largest and most successful amateur cricket clubs. Founder members of the Shepherd Neame Middlesex County Cricket League, Richmond has 5 League XIs playing throughout the regular League season. The Club also enters the National Knockout competition, the Club Cricket Conference Cup, the Cockspur National 20/20 and the Middlesex Cup.

The Club has one of London's largest Colts sections with over 200 youngsters (ranging in age between 6 and 15) participating most weeks. Competitive fixtures are staged for Under 15, Under 145, Under 13, Under 12, Under 11 (2 sides) and Under 10's. More information about the Colts activities can be found at the main club website : www.richmondcricketclub.com

The Club's main ground, Old Deer Park, is one of London's finest facilities. Middlesex CCC stages 1st team one day matches at the ground and it is also used regularly by the County's 2nd XI. 3rd and 4th XI matches in 2009 will be played at the lovely Imperial College ground in Teddington. 5th XI matches will be played at the Imperial College Ground, Harlington.

Richmond Cricket Club is part of a larger sports club which also offers tennis and archery during the summer months and top-class rugby during the winter, through our partners, London Welsh RFC.

The Club boasts an extensive pavilion, which hosts many external functions, and the club bar offers a friendly and jovial environment for post-match celebration. And of course, the social capital of South-West London, Richmond town centre, is just a short stroll away!

Richmond Cricket Club has three main social functions each year. These are the Club Dinner in April, the Summer Ball in June and the Club Supper in September.

We also run one of the best-attended annual cricket tours where we stay in the glorious Cotswolds for an August week of cricket, golf, drinking and general merriment!
