THE CLUB
Richmond Cricket Club celebrated its 150th Anniversary in 2012 and is one of London's most successful amateur cricket clubs, and is the largest in Middlesex. Founder members of the Middlesex County Cricket League, Richmond has 5 League XIs and the club also enters the ECB National Club Championship; the ECB National Club t20; the Club Cricket Conference Cup; and the Middlesex Cup.
In 2012, the club entered the new MCB Development League, reaching the Final, and launched a Ladies Section.
The Club also runs one of London's largest Colts sections with over 400 youngsters (ranging between 6 and 17 years of age) participating most weeks. Competitive fixtures are staged for Under 17, Under 15, Under 14, Under 13, Under 12, Under 11, and Under 10s. More information about the Colts' activities can be found at the main club website: www.richmondcricketclub.com
The Club's main ground, Old Deer Park, is one of the county's finest facilities. Middlesex CCC stages 1st team one day matches at the ground and it is also used by the County's 2nd XI. Richmond 3rd and 4th XI matches are played at Imperial College's picturesque Teddington Sports Ground. 5th XI matches are played at Imperial College's Harlington Sports Ground.
Richmond Cricket Club is also part of a larger sports club which offers tennis and archery during the summer months and Championship rugby union during the winter, through our partners, London Welsh RFC.
The Club boasts an extensive pavilion, which hosts many external functions, and the club bar offers a friendly and jovial environment for post-match celebration. And of course, the social capital of South West London, Richmond town centre, is just a short stroll away!
The Club has three main social functions each year: the Club Dinner in April; the Summer Ball; and the Awards Night, which follows the end of the season.
We also run one of the best-attended annual cricket tours, where we stay in the glorious Cotswolds every August, for a week of cricket, golf, socialising and general merriment!
If you, or a member of your family, are interested in joining the club, please go to the About Us section and email the most relevant Joining Richmond CC contact, and we will come back to you promptly.
